Yes but only for logging. You wont be able to flash to the 98/99 ecu with that cable you will need an OP2.0 not the 1.3. I wouldn't pay that much for it either. You can get that cable cheaper from evoscan.com. There are other options for logging that are cheaper. Evoscan offers a logging only version (the 1.3D) of that cable that only cost $60, and if you do a little looking there are some other cables offered on Ebay that work with evoscan that are even cheaper that the 1.3D.

I ended up buying the correct openport 2.0 with reflash adapter. I can use the same cord that comes with ecuflash for logging with evoscan, or do I need another, specific cable?

You can use the OP2.0 for logging but it doesn't have the same baud rate at the 1.3 cable so you can log a bunch of items all at once (for example, 10 items with the 2.0 as oppose to 15-20 at once with the 1.3). I have no experience with the other ebay cable so I am not sure how well it works.
