Vancouver,
Hey guys.
Im in the middle of a 16g swap into my 2g

Everything is set up perfect and I have been looking at the vfaq and stuff for waterlines.
I ran them a little different. Just wondering if the front line for the 16g is the same one as the t25 front line.. or are they reversed? does it even matter what the feedline and return line for water is?

ill post some pics when i get home.

PS judging by the pics on vfaq it says i need to extend the rubber line. the way mine liens up now is perfect and it does not need any extension so i dont know if have them backwards... thanks

Thanks

As long as coolant/water passes into one side of the turbo, and leaves the other side, you will be OK. I believe they make kits for 2G's to allow proper fitment.

It's just like swapping the 14b onto a 2G. The water lines from the T25 install in a flipped order (front to back and back to front) on the 16G. I recall having to extend my soft line when installing my 14b. Easy fix as all I did was commandeer a buddy's car to purchase some fuel line at Advance Auto.

the real trouble im having is where each line goes to the motor..... like the one on the rad side goes to the one thats lower pointing down on the motor? and the one on the motor side goes to the higher one comming off of the water pump housing?
or is it reversed?

ill post some pics right now

Oddly enough, I happen to have a pic that should help you out a bit. This is looking down at the water lines on my 14b.

The horizontal water line is connected to the engine-side water line on the turbo. The radiator side water line goes under the turbo's center section and connects to the vertical line.

ok here is a pic of what i have done. Now tell me if this is right? I ran the front line underneath rather than in front of the actuator. This way they line up without having to extend anything........ its more efficient IF its not backwards :)

Looks about right. Here's mine for reference (the red hoses make it easier to see your connection points). Hook up the bottom and you're good to go.
