Just wondering if this sounds promising or should i just buy the genuine Evo III from extreme psi for $600????

The turbo is all genuine except for the turbine housing. 350 shipped with Wastegate actuator as well. I acquired the housing from a guy sending his turbo to be converted to a 20g, i saved the compressor housing because it was still good. I bought a brand new turbine wheel and compressor wheel. The only used parts on this turbo are the center section and housings. The turbine housing is evo3 style, It came off a GT concepts EVO3 which was just as good as the Genuine evo3 turbos. Im just waiting for that housing to come in. I would be surprised if it is Not here on monday, because i ordered it early last week. The turbo is rebuilt and im just waiting on the turbine housing then it will be ready to go

FP has the Evo III for $549, I'd just go with that, then you know everything will be good. Some of those knockoff housings are fine, others not. Some the holes don't line up 100%, or the flange surface is not flat or they crack in a short period of time.

The GT Concepts turbine housing is a perfect fit, but it does like to crack over time where the high-nickel MHI turbine housings do not crack.

From sound of the listing, if you can trust the seller, the only part of the turbo that isn't Genuine is the turbine housing.

i went to extreme psi and it says $600 but if i bout it from FP will it go on to the stock o2 housing? so all i would need to buy is the turbo and new oil lines?

I wouldn't touch a used 16g for $600 when you can buy brand new MHI 16g from FP for $550

I think hes talking about the used turbo is $350 and knows he can get a new one for around $600. but for the GT concept style evo III Ive used one for 3 years on my talon at mid 20psi. So if he can prove that it really is a genuine turbo I would go with it but you can find better deals out there for real MHI 16gs less than $350, buy a real one for $200 and have Justin rebuild it.

eclipse 1998 that is correct. Go to forcedperformance.com and you will see it, should be able to get the lines, turbo and it shipped for $600. its always a gamble to buy used but they are very durable turbos and are rebuilt for fairly cheap. So if you have the money go new, or just wait for a deal on one on a vendor you can trust.

If you don't already have an upgraded fuel pump and if you want a better manifold, but the manifold is definitely not needed. A ported 2g manifold flows very well.

^^^ correct ...a ported 2g mani makes a difference..i run it..and def. get a genuine mhi 16g. really good street turbos.
