evo 8/9 in a 1g/2g????

In 4 hours I plan to go look at some 272 BC cams, but they are for an EVO 8/9. Will they fit my 1g/2g talon turbo? Thanks!!!

Well first you need to figure out what type of BC 272 Evo cams they are because the Evo VIII and Evo IX have different cams because of MIVEC.

If they are Evo VIII then YES they'll work but not without some modification, to say the least they aren't a direct drop in.

It is from an evo 8!!! What kind of modification??

The kind that don't make it worth it unless your getting them for next to nothing, BC 272's for a DSM go for $350 BRAND NEW so in the classifieds you could probably snag a set for $200.

Theres a thread that you might want to read before making the purchase, I think you might find your better off getting some for a DSM.

Evo VIII Cams in a DSM? [MERGED]​

I'm the guy that tried it. Actually, I did finish it but it's not worth the effort. I was 17 years old and everybody was telling me that it can't be done. To me that was just motivation to keep going with the little project. I did all the measuring and fitting in my bedroom by myself. The Evo 8 cams WILL fit into a DSM..but the gains to work required ratio just aren't worth the hassle. It's pretty much an "I told you so" mod. Go buy yourself a nice set of regrinds instead.

Of course hes talking about dropping stock Evo VIII cams in but the same principle apply's a 272 cam is a 272 cam, but the difference is your going to be going to a lot of trouble using Evo VIII 272's.
