2G 2g Evo 8/9 Steering Wheel install

Has any body used the stock 2g Dsm bracket to weld on the evo 8/9 instead of the 1g wheel bracket. I have 2 2g wheels just laying around and I’d hate to buy a 1g one just to cut it up

I meant to type steering wheel. I read where you can weld a 1g steering wheel bracket on the evo steering wheel to get the splines right.

But I was wondering if I can use a 2g one instead because I have a couple laying around and I don’t wanna buy a steering just to cut it up

If you can extract the hub section you need off a 2g steering wheel it should work. It's easier to work with a 1g unit, even easier to use Dude's bracket.

3g wheel is similar to the Evo wheel and is direct fit, no mods needed. I like mine very much.

I used the 1g hub and a friend of mine bought the bracket from dudes website and it worked just a good. There's 2 options right there. I don't think you can do anything with the 2G steering wheels to fit an Evo wheel on the 2G steering column. The 1G hub from the wheel is weldable but if I had to do it again I'd get the bracket for the ease of installation without needing to weld.
