EVO 8 wheel confusion

I've read that a et 40 to 45 17x8 wheel with 235/45-17 fit with no rub... I accepted this.

I've also seen people running Evo 8 wheel (17X8) with the same tires with no issues and as I understand it those wheels are et35. true?

Anyone running 17x8 with either 235 or 245 tires want to give me an honest assessment on how they fit on a 1G? Do they rub on the suspension or body, etc.

There's a lot of information out there and a lot more misinformation.

I run 235/45r17s on Evo 8 rim also my suspension is stock. If you hit bumps hard the fronts with scape on the top of the fender a little but they have been fine otherwise.

I just bought Evo 8 wheels and coilovers and will be running 235/45/17's, I'm running 17x8's right now with a decent offset and I rub on the front fenders a little under hard cornering. Same tire size.

on 2gs theres allot of room for a drop i myself have 17x8 KONIG ZERO'S +40 offset and 235/45 with plenty of dropping room...not sure about 1g

Evo 8 wheels are 17x8 with a +38mm offset.

I currently have a set of Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs on them. 245/40/17 size tires. No rub on a 2g.
