I am new to the whole tuning process and I am wondering for a daily street car is it best to buy a eprom ecu to install into my 2g gst or is their a standalone option that’s much better. I am currently running extremely rich due to larger injectors and would need to remap. What do you all think is the best route?

If you have a stand-alone that you know inside and out then go for it.

Most people go with a EPROM ECU with DSMLink/ECMLink because it works, does pretty much what 99% of the people want, and it's easier than most stand-alones to configure and use.

There is lots of information on the site as to the pro's and con's of the various engine management systems available. Spend some time reading them.

If you want to learn to tune yourself then ecmlink. If you're wanting something better than ecmlink and you don't plan on doing any tuning then Link G4+/G4x is better. Still plug and play but 2x the features and same price.
