I have a 91 ECU out of a Talon TSi will that work for a DSMchip or do I need a 95? What's the difference?

In general, 1G cars need a 1G ECU and 2G cars need a 2G ECU. (generalizing for turbo cars)
I assume your asking for the car in your profile so you need a 1G ECU.

On 1G's there seem to be EPROM versions of each ECU model. On 2G's only the '95 model year had some EPROM ECU's.

Keydiver makes chips for both generations, you get the one that applies to your car but you need a EPROM version of the ECU for that car to be able to put a chip or DSMLink in.
