So I bought this car a while back. 92 tsi awd
With the battery connected the turn signals illuminate on the dash. They don't blink but stay green.
I've checked the relay and it's fine.
The flashers work accordingly.

What kind of bulbs? When I switched to LED's in my Camaro the hazards flashed fine but the individual signals didn't. If I recall I had to grab a different solenoid to handle the lower voltage drop of the LED's ($7 from AZ and if I was way off you can return it :p)

Check your grounds, there may be a chance that your signal could be grounding itself. I'm having a blinking problem, checked the grounds and one was messed up fixed that one and it switched to the other side. Just a thought may be the source of your problem, as for the location of the ground well that can vary as there are many ground points just have to find the correct one.

We tried looking for grounds but had trouble finding the schematic for the whole shebang when we were trying to track it all down. Maybe i'll just pick up all four sockets at the junkyard tomorrow. Going to pick up a hazard switch too. I never found that thread about the socket's so thank you!!

check your hazard light button/switch. After doing a swap on my mirage I just left that harness disconnected and It did the same that your car is doing. I hooked it up and it worked again.

so check it and make sure the connector on it is snug and there are no bare wire grounding out.
this was not on an eclipse but anything helps right?

Oh sorry for the long reply been busy lately. I'd most likely start with your under dash harness (not the one located "in" the dash. If those grounds are okay then check the ones closest to your lights themselves, the ones in the front will most likely be located under your side panels.

Edit:
If you have a DMM this will make your job that much easier too as you'll need to test for shorts/opens where they should and shouldn't be - use of the schematic will help you in this situation once you find the actual ground.

This is not working... I DONT KNOW WHAT THE #### I'M LOOKING FOR!! How do I check the grounds? How the hell would a ground even make ####ing sense!?! I just traced a Green w/ white wire all the way back to the rear side marker lights and they're not even the damn problem!!!! I'm reading the factory manual but when 12 wires branch off into 49 wires it's not even possible to keep everything straight in my head!!!

I would just take it to someone to have them look at it. You don't seem to be grasping what people are telling you. There is NO NEED to pull the harness out like that. A multimeter is all you need to figure this out.

Did you ever check to see if the correct bulbs were in the car? You also need to check the grounding points on the body harness closest to the lights make sure they are clean.

Yea you most likely have a ground issue.Check for proper voltage and ground at the bulbs.I would get a diagram check marker lights and everything to make sure there installed right.

No you're not grasping what I need. How the hell do I check for grounds with a multimeter?? I can't even find a wiring diagram for the blinkers that even makes sense. I've checked numerous traces all over the car and the damn service manual doesn't even tell you which wires are supposed to be hot and supposed to be grounds... In my eyes, if a ground is touching a hot then a fuse should pop or a wire should be bare and broken from overheating.

I found out tonight that my radiator fans are not turning on even though they are plugged in and work. Also the wiper motor is BLAZING hot for no apparent reason. Also when I turn the car OFF, the ECU doesn't click off. It just stops running(yes even with the key out). I do need someone to take a look at it but i'm sure as shit not driving it anywhere. I'd be willing to PAY someone to come here and help me with it. I just don't understand the wiring of this car when no one here can even explain it. It leads me to believe none of you do. Not as an insult but really, no one has bothered to even post a wiring diagram to the blinkers....

The problem is simple. You do not understand the diagrams you have. So what you need to do is with the car off. Take a digital multi meter and check for continuity along the circuit for the hazards and flashers. What that means is you are listening for an audible sound. If there is continuity between the two ends of the wire you will hear the beep. First check your grounds. Test the bulb socket for continuity to ground on both pins. Then go to the hazard switch and check there. The lights don't work at all without that switch in.

I don't know how you are with written information but this is probably the most detailed reply you'll get. If you don't solve the problem with this information you'll need a pro to look at your car.

I would just go buy a new set of bulbs for every light and start from there. If they are old the bottom of them can get corroded causing unwanted electrical connections and weird light/blown fuse issues.
go through each bulb and check.
Also like everyone said check the fuses. One thing i always find is people dont have the correct fuse and think putting the next fuse size up will fix the issue and it sometimes can cause problem.

Also I used to have one of these blue point test lights. It has been a while since I used one but they are good for telling you what wire is hot or grounded and it will light up a different color for each one. You may be able to get a way with a cheapo test light that lights up when its hot but I have found these to work a little better as it tells me if a wire is for sure ground, then I can lookup the wiring diagram to see if it is supposed to have power or not. Hope some part of this babling helped :)
Blue Point SST CTS1 12v Test Light | eBay These things I used to only be able to get from the snap-on truck and they were expensive.

Wow. You are amazing... Thank you for the written, it helps ... ALOT. I've been looking for a wiring diagram like that for ages. My service manual is damn near folded in half because ive been using it like crazy trying to make sence of it all... Is this the 91 diagram going to work with my 92?

Not entirely but very similar. Just mind the text base diagram I posted and you'll be fine.

proably just put a bit too much blinker fluid in laqst time it was checked, or you might be extremely low on it, both ways will cqause the same thing. LOL sorry i had to, it was the first thing that popped into my mind, and sadly i have no usefull input to add, I appologize, hopefully you got a chuckel LOL

Another possibility if your grounds are good is the "Turn-Signal and Hazard Flasher Unit". It is located under the center console close to the dashboard. I have the 92 Eagle Service Manual and I will post the electrical diagram, and it shows you where the flasher unit is, tomorrow when I can scan those pages at work.
