Hideki, did you see the GSR-4 badge on the 2g eclipses as well? Is the GSR-4 emblem the same as the GSX emblem font and location wise? just different letters? Any pics?

The only 2Gs I saw were 2GA's and the GSR-4 badge looked like the USDM "GSX" font. No pics, but I'm going back to Tokyo at the end of the year and I'll try and snap some photos and maybe ship a bunch of JDM gauge clusers and badges to the states

ALL DSM's were made in the US! The European Versions were made in the US also, just with a few things different to make legal in the specific companies. Like all the DSM's that were to be shipped to Canada, have Daytime running lights since its the law. I've never heard of the GSR-4, but all in all.. hell yeah! DSM's aren't ### cars, they are domestic! Now in Japan, Germany and other countries that have 1g and 2g dsm's... they are imports to them... cause those cars had to be imported.

You know what I wonder... what they concider a Dodge or a Pontiac in Japan... Imports? ...

DSM's in Japan is just like the Toyota Cavalier! Well except RHD... Chevy made a few RHD Cavaliers and sold them to Toyota for overseas. Really spectacular... my friend wants to import one over here... since they are RHD Chevy's...

So prior to seeing this thread, I had never heard of a GSR-4 Eclipse. So it got me curious and I searched for some info, of which I really didn't find any I'm guessing that model designation was for non-USDM exported models just to keep the models in line with the Evo's. Most know of GSR Evos so I'd assume those same people would recognize GSR-4 models as being the same in comparison to the Evo GSR.

Also found this link for a DSM being sold in Japan, listed as a MY2000, yet we all clearly know the 2Gs ended production in '99... state-side at least. Were there any 2G DSMs sold as such to foreign markets?

Sorry, but you better check your facts. Japan got 1G's and 2G's.

only as they imported them hence why they only came on LHD!!! japan never built any there just imported, japan have NEVER built not no my knowledge anyway a production LHD car

As much as I love DSMs, I would get rid of mine and probably a nut to own an R33 generation Skyline. I like that body over all other Skylines for some reason. Probably because I like sports cars from the '90's decade. Plus I know I'd be able to get yet another DSM without trying.

As much as I love DSMs, I would get rid of mine and probably a nut to own an R33 generation Skyline. I like that body over all other Skylines for some reason. Probably because I like sports cars from the '90's decade. Plus I know I'd be able to get yet another DSM without trying.

I recently bought another r33 skyline gtst. I was after an r34 gtr but just dont have that money right now. I prefer the r34 skylines as there meaner and also lighter. Still got my 2g as that will never be sold unless it came down to life and death

Fender Side Markers
Full Amber Fwd Side Blinkers
Slightly Different Front Lights
Amber Corner Tail Lights
"Shortie" Pop Up Housings that are adjustable via an Adjustment Wheel on the dash
Some came with Vestatec Front and or Rear Lips
LHS Rear Foglight
A handful were made into Targa Tops and in Japan they made some into Gullwings.

When I was in Japan, all the turbo 2G's I found were badged as GSR-4

This is old but since somebody linked this page in a Facebook group and this is a kind of wrong info, I should correct this.
In Japan, there is NO 2G that came with a "GSR-4" decal from factory. If somebody saw it, that's not from factory.
