Looks like the back of that gold prototype has a strong Audi theft. Er, influence.

The Tarmac is not an Eclipse replacement. It's a whole new line of cabriolet cars. And boy are they ugly...at least from the prototype pics (see attachment)

The 3G prototype looks real good...too bad Mits decided to go with a more conservative look instead.

I dunno, I'm not a fan of its style but from what I have read it's basically an evo where it counts. If so, it might be fun to own people in something that looks like that.

Does anyone know why the test mule has Michigan plates? As far as I know, Mitsubishi doesn't have any facilities in Michigan. Is there an advantage or a requirement that development cars/test mules have Michigan plates?

My guess is that Mits is using someone else's test track in MI.

I hope they have enough crap stuffed under those covers to "fool" us.

I like the mitsu eclipse because of the uniqueness of it. if i wanted a eco car i would rather have a honda or even a hi-un-dai the 4G concept looks like a dirty pull-up. I want something new but also some thing that doesnt tatse like crap.

yeah... many people can say alot of thing about new coming vehicles by mitsu... don't go to far, when the evo was presented to US, there was alot of people hating it already, and many other loving it... theres a bunch of people who already bought it cause it's fast and it's turbocharged, I think that regardless of what the new models look like if mitsu goes back to turbo engines, people will eventually buy it and love as any other car, also they'll be alot of haters, C'mon guys think just a bit... it's the new millenium, cars from now on are gonna be ugly, but fast... and our DSM eventually are going to be OLD cars, so we gotta switch to newer models, I bet that if mitsu goes back to a turbocharged 4 cyl eclipse, regardless of what it looks like there will be a lot of people posting: "Can this car be a DSM?" or "Can this car be in the dsmtuners boards?" correct me if i'm wrong but didn't this exact same thing happen with the Evo VIII...?

I hope that the dont bring back the AWD TURBO cars, that will make our cars drop in value, and it wont be fun to say " We own a car that is not made anymore" we own a piece of History!

I don't think it really looks that bad... its really hard to tell what it looks like when 1/2 of the car is covered with a black tarp. I REALLY dont like that bar that goes thru the middle of the window in the doors. It looks bad and it would probably be annoying when you are driving. I hope they bring back the turbo 4, but i kinda doubt it. the next gen galant has a 3.8 v6 (230hp) and a 2.4 mivec I-4 (165?hp)... I guess they will probably just get cheap and stick those engines in it. They might have an AWD v6 though seeing as how the endeavor suv is off the galant platform (built at the DSM plant too) and it has AWD.

I think it would be a wonderful thing if they brought back a turbo awd, and I don't think its going to make our cars' values go down more than they already have.

Even if mitsu did come out with a new style that looks like the 2g, would it have the 4g63? I mean I could see them coming out with another sports type car. The 3kgt and the eclipse were out at the same time, why not the evo and eclipse? But they didn't have the same motors... whos to say they dont make the eclipse a v6 twin turbo or something along those lines? A higher priced car or something... Even if they did come back out with something sick, I'ed want the motor to be prooven like mine is now...
