Seems to be a few others building up N/T DSMs for road course/autocross lately. Might not get a ton of hp out of them, but you also won't have to battle the heat issues the turbo cars generate. Should be fun. Keep this build thread updated and share your installs here.

Head cover + leaking gasket (before)

Suspension before power is my motto! It’s really fun running around the track flat out! G-forces are fun. Good luck and there’s a ton of great info on here from guys that have done/are doing it now.

Head cover (actually) - new cover gasket, painted, oil pan fixed from rust and repainted to red, new pan gasket, new oil Castrol Edge 5w40 + K&N oil filter, new air filter, new transmission silentblock + lower engine beam removed rust and been repainted, new bolts.

All changes were made in november 2019.

Now engine just needs to change clutch fluid (cause former owners used engine oil as fluid to clutch *facepalm*), new power steering hose from compressor (leaking).

Then we can start make something for power.

Something from visual - they been little rusted and punched from lights and bumper, what holds on the plastic tapes.

Meanwhile few things happens I bought some things for safety - Front and rear body reinforcement, 4-point driver belt and oil temperature gauge. It's like christmas in may

You must flush your clutch lines, master and slave, oil will damage all rubber seals and make sure you do it until it is all clear.
Do not use anything else like mineral spirits, acetone, lacquer thinner etc.
You clean them, flush them with denatured alcohol, better known as wood alcohol, hope no damage has been done.

Engine was started to pulled out, because old engine smoked blue from oil stick when idle and after hard pull oil stick was pushed out 1 inch … Probably carbon in oil rings and other things … i found spare engine, what had much better compression…

First start after swap

Engine been fresh painted, changed gaskets, new mounts, clutch etc…

Spare engine wasnt opened.

Added oil cooler + Mishimoto water cooler + new silicon hoses

Spare (old engine, what has been pulled out) was opened:
All looks fine except some oily places, crank and bearings are healthy.

Start of rebuild to Turbo !

Pistons are ready !

Look, NA block have little oil squirters inside block. Does have turbo block same, or different ?

And first turbo parts arrived:

-EVO 3 exhaust manifold
- Turbo stainless steel o2 housing
- 750cc injectors
- NPR turbo pistons with piston rings
- Eprom ECU with some Dsmlink (i think is v2)
- TD05-16G big turbo from EVO 3

I already ordered some metal turbo gaskets and bearings, ARP bolts for almost all things what i can get. Ordered Stage 2 organic clutch with lightweight flywheel. Ordered OBX LSD. Ordered dual valve springs for better top-end… This will be brutal !!!

One year ago i bought original EVO 8 Enkei wheels what i wanted long time, they will be perfect with 235/45 semi-slicks

And some of last things i did … painted high rise with hatch … but sadly, hour after paint started raining so hatch is like almond chocolate in next days will repaint it
