Street Build Eclipse Evolution

Evolution from rusty broken N/T to GST with major modifications and unique ideas inside.

Seems to be a few others building up N/T DSMs for road course/autocross lately. Might not get a ton of hp out of them, but you also won't have to battle the heat issues the turbo cars generate. Should be fun. Keep this build thread updated and share your installs here. ;)
 
Head cover (actually) - new cover gasket, painted, oil pan fixed from rust and repainted to red, new pan gasket, new oil Castrol Edge 5w40 + K&N oil filter, new air filter, new transmission silentblock + lower engine beam removed rust and been repainted, new bolts.

All changes were made in november 2019.

Now engine just needs to change clutch fluid (cause former owners used engine oil as fluid to clutch *facepalm*), new power steering hose from compressor (leaking).

Then we can start make something for power.

You must flush your clutch lines, master and slave, oil will damage all rubber seals and make sure you do it until it is all clear.
Do not use anything else like mineral spirits, acetone, lacquer thinner etc.
You clean them, flush them with denatured alcohol, better known as wood alcohol, hope no damage has been done.

Engine was started to pulled out, because old engine smoked blue from oil stick when idle and after hard pull oil stick was pushed out 1 inch … Probably carbon in oil rings and other things … i found spare engine, what had much better compression…

And first turbo parts arrived:

- EVO 3 exhaust manifold
- Stainless steel o2 housing
- 750cc RC injectors
- NPR turbo pistons, NPR piston rings
- Eprom ECU with KeyDiver Stage 3 tune for 95 GSX
- MHI TD05-16G big from EVO 3

I already ordered some metal turbo gaskets and bearings, ARP bolts for almost all things what i can get. Ordered Stage 2 organic clutch with lightweight flywheel. Ordered OBX LSD. Ordered dual valve springs for better top-end… This will be brutal !!!
