A few more pictures of the arches beeing fitted:

Rear arch seen from behind: the part that stick out need to be cut off:

rear arch seen from behind/low, here you see that the part of the arch that i had "cut" off, had to be exactly that, cut off, because it would have hit right into the rear bumper:
here i only need a small for example 5mm bolt/nut/washer and drill another 5mm hole in the bottom part & neatly fold it i towards the bumper

Radiatorfun:

Fitted the Volvo 850 fan/shroud for the last time:

M5x120mm bolts hold the shroud to the radiator.

And ofcourse the fan itself :) :

I have no ide as to what these extended "rods" are called. but the move down the connectiongangle for the steeringrod.& help prevent bump-steer.

Tie-rod Bolts

Thank you som muchfor the name, i had been searching for the english name for a while.

---------------------------------------------------------

But anyway: :)

This is Mickael, he took a doublewin today 12/8-12 at Anderstorp raceway with his SPEEDLAB Corvette with 850bhp engine

The Speedlab-Crew supports my DriftEVO , as you can see.

oilfilter relocation-kit:

different dumpvalves:

Dumpvalve & wastegate-fittings/stuff:

got an radiator off an "microcar" (yess, its called just that) they´re lika a moped.
It will be used with the chargecooler

Wastegate-bell beeing modifyed:

M10x1 tap:

done:

painted the door hinges:

exhaustmanifold all welded & lowered 30mm so it clears the hood.

checking so that all is correct,

turbo:

3,5" downpipetest:

wastegate-bell placement:

Time to build the downpipe:

A great big thanx to Jesper at FLATOUTPREFORMANCE.SE
who is helping me with a lot of parts, includning the exhaust & new guages.

Chose the easy way by using 3,5" exhaustpipes:

first part spotwelded to the outlet & the second part attached to it:

It fits:

Down by the gearbox/firewall there is approximatley 8mm free space around the 3,5" exhaust:

first 2 pieces welded together & grinded:

All done and testfitted. nothings rubs :You_Rock_Emoticon:

first coupling will be an 3,5" V-band

After Dp & manifold was done, it was time to wrap them up in exhaustwrap:

Downpipe up first:

Done, a single package of 50mm wrap was just enough:

tested on the car/turbo:

Underneath exiting from the firewall/gearbox:

Time for the headers:

Two pipes done:

Three done:

All four done finally:

A small stabilising rod made from an welded 10mm nut/bolt / fully adjustable to keep the manifolk from hanging/cracking because of the heavy turbo:

hoseclamps on each end of the manifold:

Johan @ Konstruktions-teknik AB gave me all the pneumatic couplings i need for the dupmvalves & the wastegate etc etc.

Also found these add-ons on an Volvo S40 that looks like the stock EVO3 .

These are the outer shell of the Volvo B230 engine´s thermostat housing,
I´ll be using these two fitted together as a thermostat attached to the short welded water outletpipe :

finally the intake manifold has been machined, took just 2,5hours

Also a 35x80mm 4mm plate has been welded into the plemunchamber
where i will drill & tap the holes for all the pneumatic couplings for wacum hoses.
The intake will be grinded down a bit & the painted black, & finally
covered in real carbonfibre.

Good hard work my friend.

Thanxs man !

-----------------------------------------------------

Put in a steel plate which has been drilled/taped for the vacuumhoses:

Sanding sanding & sanding, i hate it since im allergic to fibreglas :-(

But it turned out pretty good.
All the welds are covered except the ones by the throttlebody:

Now the intake is at the local paintshop beeing painted gloss black:

Then its time to wrap it with real carbonfibre:

feederline:

AN-couplings:

Returnline, had to cut this one & weld a plate to it to make it fit:

The brake-wacumhose fitted, will run to the intake:

Here is the hydraulic brakeline from the brakefluidcup to the brakecylinder
by the drivers seat. this hose is NOT preassurized, you can also se the
drilled hole in the firewall at the top, if you look closely!

The coupling for the E-brake is done & leaktested, filled the plasic hose with WD-40 over night & nothing hade leaked:

Also visited FLATOUTPREFORMANCE.SE

an mostly dragracinginfluented speedshop in the south of Sweden. Nice guy the owner Jesper, his remarks were.
Take what you need on the store :You_Rock_Emoticon: Jesper. This picture only shows the upper storage :)

Came home with some stuff, like: QSP 300mm steeringwheel with 50mm depth, 4 (!) pairs of raceboots, 3,5" V-bandclamp,
new 4" K&N airfilter, 2pcs OMP shiftknobs (one for the gearlever, the other for the e-brake, + several siliconehoses for the intercoolingpipes.

Also thought about getting another steeringwheel.. but. naaah :)

Visited my friend Pelle the welderman again :)

last time the radiator is modifyed i hope,, weled in a short 32mm pipe into the stock 38mm så i can use the same size hoses all around.

He also weled together 2pcs intercoolerpipes in 2.5" from the turbo to the intercooler:
¨

then we welded this old-school DIa-Compe BMW brakelever to the rearlever, this will have a short wire to it so when i pull the lever the "stopp" for the reverse gear is opened.

How-to: on fitting ADD-ONS from an Volvo S/V401996-99 onto an EVO 1-2-3

Add-Ons from the carbreaker:

sand down & paint (i did)

measure as to where they will be fitted, the three "top"mounts are to be placed in the lower part where it looks like the rear spoiler is in 2 parts

here 2 ofthe holes for the top mounts are drilled, i used a 3mm drill:

attach the Add-On via the new holes, & secure it with suitable clip/glue :

Press the Add-On up/inwards & drill the remaining 2pcs 6mm holes for the inner fasteners. Attach a M6 bolt/nut with washers & your done:

[bThey really do fit the EVO to 99%

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Cleaned the garage today... Now i can see what color the floor was, again

3,5" pipes for coming exhaustbuild :

Straight 3" -> 4" for temporary fitting between intercooler & throttlebody, just until the chargecooler is fitted:

Racing cupholder for rollcagemount:

I forgot a few pictures from today:

So here they come:

What the car looks like without the arches fitted:

New Sparco racinggloves (size 10) Special thanxs to Jesper at Samfundet he also gave me all the exhaustpipes.

Front view at the garage:

The newly welded intercoolerpipe between the turbo & the intercooler fits well:

Also made a new returnline for the turbo, this time its an 12mm inside, the old one was 10mm.

And made 3pcs AN8 oil-lines for the oilfilter/oilcooler !

More stuff done.....

The Roofscoope has finaly gotten its valve to let cold air into the drivers compartment.

55mm hole drilled in the roof:

An plastic cup cut in half, has been filed to fit the drilled hole:

In place, I used 2-comp: Epoxiglue, the "cup" also stick up approx 15mm above the roof inside thye scoop. so it wont let water in:

4cm groundclearance.... oki ? :)

A small update anyways :)

The reloctionkit for the oilfilter is done & the kit now is fitted to
the right front beam... just behind/below the right front light.

The intake is all done & covered in carbonfibre + 3 caots of clear laquer.

Some updates:

underside of the intake...

My friend Sebbe & myself has started to et the engine/gearbox out.:
