So, I just finally hooked up my dsm link V3. I have a 93 gst and I got the car to idle halfway decent, but as soon as you touch the pedal it richens up like crazy. It bottoms out my AFR gauge and im pretty stumped. I realise that this might be a rookie mistake but who knows, I have been messing with the maf sliders and fuel sliders to no prevail.

I also have coolant temp, maf, tps, and other random codes. so I believe that this might have something to do with it. Any help would be awesome thanks guys:D

Fix the issues first then troubleshoot the other problem. A maf being unplugged will give a ton of errors. That doesnt explain TPS and Coolant temp sensor DTCs though. Sounds like you have quite a few issues. Did you have a CEL before installing link? You have a pre socketed ecu correct? So you just installed the chip and plugged it back up. Theres really nothing TO installing link so i would think your problem isnt there.

All 3 of those will give you big problems, the maf code will give greif cause the engine has no way to motor airflow, the temp sensor in most cases if you have a code its because its faulty and reads -74 degrees which would cause you to run very rich, fix those issues and i bet everything will go much smoother

Also once you fix everything make sure you do a boost leak test. DSM link is very picky, and if you have air coming in after the maf your gonna run like crap.

Well, yeah I had the light on before I started messing with my new computer. This one i just had to plug in the dsm chip.... simple enough. and when im on link i was reading the laptop and it said my temp was around 130 at idle. so it works. maybe not so great though?

There are 2 coolant temp sensors on a 2g, not sure about a 1g i know its slightly different. One i think is a switch and one is the linear temp reading that you are seeing on link. If possible, let it idle til the fans kick on and make sure the temp is iirc, 206. Just to test that it is reading low AND high temps accurately and not jumping.
Check your tps: turn car to run position(not running tho) and log tps. Press pedal to the floor slowly. Make sure it reads 0 at the top and 100 at the floor and its a smooth transition throughout the range.
Log IAT and MAFRAW to see if your hz and air temps are functioning correctly. Give it a little gas and watch the mafraw. Im not familiar with exactly what hz it will read on a 1g. Also your cams and exhaust may effect how much, or little, air you flow at idle.

I was trying to setup the mafraw by hitting F10 and i got it to cross over like its supposed to, but couldnt ever find it in the logging graph. And i did the throttle test. from 0 to 100. that seemed to work good also... everyonce and a while though on my SAFCII controller it will just say its at 100 % all the time, or it will work fine. I think if i could figure out how to get the mafraw to come up it would possibly fix whats going on. maybe im crazy though. and the only light that comes on at idle is the coolant code. until i rev it up a few times , than the rest show up

i just figured it out... holly crap, lucky guess on my part. the biggest plug on the eprom computer needed to be wedged up. who knew. so i stuffed a screw that was in the old computer back in it... no lights and it actually runs now. it cruises decent so far. but my idle is wayy to lean, how should i fix that. throught the mafraw?.. im currently messing with the maf comp sliders. and im getting numbers like - 42.2 @ 50 Hz

I know nothing of the SAFC but if you have link, get that pos out of there!! Not being mean, but theres no reason to have both(if im understanding you correctly).
The car cant be running to add to this list of logged values btw. Just grab a log with car in on position, not running, and right click on screen then double click all the value you want to log out of the selections. Hit accept, or something like that, you get the idea. Then start a new log and right click and click displayed values. Scroll down, find the ones u just added and double click them and accept.
