yup, Washington
I just bought a '92 talon TSI AWD. Took it for a few runs at the local drag races, on my 3rd run I got a bit of tire shake/shudder now I have RWD only. A few spectators told me only my rear wheels were spinning down the track. Is this a busted front axle??. Someone suggested I broke my center diff which is inside the 5 speed trans? but I never heard any noise of any kind and drove it home. Any thoughts???. Thanks in advance..

You probably blew one of these three the center diff, vicious coupler or front diff. I guess it's possible you broke a front axle. But most likely you would hear it flopping around. Easy way to check is just grab the axle and shake it. It shouldn't move at all. If those are ok pull the trans and inspect, really the only way.
