OK here it goes,, I bought this car that they told me had a bad water pump!! it has been in there garage for the last 2 years!! And i said ok but the car would not start i figured it was the bad smelling gas that was in the car!! So i bought it and towed it home!!

I drained the gas and put 10 gallons of freash gas in it!! Still won't start! So ok i started to check things i put brand new wires and plugs and coil on it!! and i have great spark!!
I check the timming and it's not off at all!
It's getting gas in the chambers, but it's not lightsing the gas

I pulled the fule rail out and it is sparying gas out of the injectors up to like 8 feet so there clean!! I pulled the intake tube off and it sucking air in!! and i put my hand in front of the muffler and it blowing out!! But the car just keep cranking and not fireing!! so took the plugs out and sparyed then with starter fluid and sparyed some into the holes and put them back in and it tryed to start once it like sputterd and then it stoped and it would do it again!!

### help 92 talon awd a/t!

umm it is missing the idel screw but someone put a bolt in the hole with silcone!! i tryed to get out of another car and i can't get it to back out all the way!!

give me the firing order on the coil pack and motor!! or send me a pick i might have it wrong it goes on the cover from left to right 4321 that is wrong ant it!! I'm not sure i ahve been told like 200 diff fireing orders

As for the upper ic pipe on or off makes no difference!!

I have fuel i pulled the rail out and cranked it over and watched the fuel spary out the injectors!! Good wide spary!!

I pulled each plug and held it to the motor well some one cranked it and each plug got fire!!

and i did a cold compression test!! i also had some one crank it over and i felt the intake suck really good and i had a good amount of air comming out the exhaust!! And you can here it going wa wa wa wa when i crank it!! but not starting,, it just makes a loud HISSS after like 4 turn overs!! into the upper ic pipe!

What could this be is something bent or what!!

Thanks for the help0!

Glad you finally got her running :thumb:

Have you done a boost leak test? Can you try to describe the noises it's making? What color is the smoke, and where is it coming from?

If you can keep it running long enough to get up to operating temp, you might want to perform another compression test, just to see how the numbers change from the cold reading you did before.

i'm still not sure how you finally hooked up your ignition wires. You're correct in the order that you listed the cylinders: From passenger side to t-belt, it's 4321. And the coil is 4123. The firing order that I posted from the factory manual denotes the actual firing order of the cyls, which is what I thought you were asking for... The way you hook up the wires is 4123. Notice that the #3 wire is the longest for a reason ;)

WHOA WHOA WHOA here. Upper IC pipe on or off makes NO DIFFERENCE??? Are you serious? ROFL See if ANY t-charged car can run let alone idle or barely even start with one of the IC pipes off. It will barely hang on for dear life. The pipe needs to be on.

I think what he's saying is that the car does the same thing, regardless of whether the IC pipe is on or off.

But.....yeah. LOL OMG

OK have not done a boost leak test!!

As for the ic pipe! i'ts on but i don't have the clamps down tight would this cause it to be hard to start!!

And if i don't have a biss screw how bad will that mess it up!

Got the car running!! but OMG LOL i have black smoke cumming out the exhaust!! i have a big exhaust leak at the cat and i have white smoke comming from behind the turbo cant see right where it is b/c of heat sheild!!

But the car won't pull it's self under it's own power!! and i can't rev it higher than 3 grand! WTF IS GOING ON now!

White smoke I'm going to guess is the excess oil burning off of your motor as it is warming up. The oil that spewed all over the place. It will burn off of the exhaust manifold and places of extreme heat, but everywhere else will need to be cleaned by hand. You should do this soon because the longer you wait to clean it, the harder to clean it will be. Especially once it gets to be thick and sludge-like.

Yes, the BISS screw not being in place will make for a shitty running car. Especially since this has to do with your idle speed. It needs replaced immediately.

Next, go through the entire turbo system and make sure that each and every hose is tightly secured. Even small losses in turbo system pressure will cause the car to react badly.

Last, you smoke black out the exhaust. This car has been sitting for a LONG time. Besides needing to be ran for a period of time just get the "cobwebs" blown out, it needs to be gone through and given a complete freshening up. Im 100% sure some of the gaskets have seen their better days, and just from the car sitting for such an extended period of time can cause some unwanted things to occur.

Tired of writing for now, SO GO GET TO WORK! :dsm:

What he said ^^^^^

Once you get that BISS replaced and get the car running decently, I might recommend that you run a bottle of Seafoam through the engine (then change the oil), and possibly through the intake as well. Do a search for Seafoam to find a lot of people who have had awesome results using it. Especially on older cars that haven't been run in a while. Once you get the car running, I think it would do wonders to clean out all the remaining "cobwebs". :thumb:

yea i knew about the seafoam i have used it a lot!! thanks for the help and your right i posted before i took the time to worm the car the smoke stoped!!
