I am starting my quest for a 1000hp GST Eclipse all out drag car, starting to reduce weight and so fourth, and just wondering whats the lightest anybody has gotten a DSM? whether 1g or 2g, gst or gsx? I figured I would post this up and see everybodys current weight.

Hope to have mine in the low 2k range when all said and done. My build sounds similar to yours, you can find it in the build journal section.

That would be a mid to low 8 sec ride.

Wow that's pretty generous. It's easy to make power, it's hard to get the car to hook. Kiggly is the only one who can cut 60fts like the AWD cars. Any other FWD dsm cuts 1.6s or worse and powers it's way to good times.

The sfwd guys all make around 1000hp and that's what times they run. And kigglys not the only 4g63 powered fwd to lay down good times. But this is all besides the point. OP asked for car weights.
