Megasquirt sucks for our cars.I have been running fuel only for awhile and it's useless in winter, constant adjustments, even with the wideband hooked up for fuel comp.Sorry don't mean to hijack thread.

BW turbo and an auto set-up maybe with a little nitrous for the 60'. Not too many people run auto's but they seem to make some of the best times with good set-up's. On only 29PSI and short shifting 6-6.5K FP 3065 turbo with a slow 1.749 60' I still managed a 10.65 and Lucas english just ran a 10.8 with a pretty much stock weight 16G. Would be nice to see a BW 366 or something like that run some type of single digits.

Good lookin build so far and i like the budget build idea. Have you decided on which engine managment you are going to use. i think useing the link and puting it into the deep 9's would be unique or going with something less used like the squirt.

Well 3D is a dealer for PRO EFI so that is what we will use for managment.

New parts I got last night. TRE stage 3 with Quaife diff and 1pcs driveshaft

I'm not trying to knock you or your shop but a couple things right off the bat. That's not a 1pc DS. That pc just replaces two of the 3 stock pcs. There are only a couple companys that sell a true one pc like ACPT which I plan on running. Second if you plan on using every bit of a gt42r your gonna need more than a tre stage 3 trans. A budget dsm owner goes fast with like a 16g a fmic and dsmlink not a gt42r and fully built car. Like I said not trying to knock you or the shop just trying to keep things into prospective. Good luck with the build

It's cool man. I do belive that is a 1pcs because it is the same length as the stocker. I say this is a budget build because almost all the parts we have so for are all used even the motor. This is a budget build "race car " not street and or race car. This car will not see a lot of street duty , maybe a cruise or car show here and there.

What size tires are you running on your FD wheels, also are those BFG GR?

They are 205/55/16 I think and they are yokohama advan track tire. I will have to get the name off them next time I'm down there. The rims and tires were at the shop for a while so we will use them for now. We would like to get some slicks but not sure if we will stay with a 16in rim or 15's:confused:

When do you plan on having the car completed? I am going to start a strip only build soon on a new 1g and am planning to have it done in the summer, just in time for a NE meet.

I am looking for low 10's on the new build, if that is to quick there is always project "STOCKER"

Not knockin it, but why would you gut a clean 1g....let alone a clean 1g with under 60,000 miles on it???

Im not hatin or anything, but it just bugs me when people convert a nice car into something that wont even see the road.

It will see some street use but very ,very little. We gutted this clean 1g because it was the right price for what we wanted to spend.

Right now we are trying to gather money to get the cage done. Once the cage is in it wont be long before its ready. All we need now is a intake manni, exhaust manni and clutch. You know anybody selling any of these parts let me know. We will be at the shootout with this car and a few others. We have already booked 3 rooms for the shootout.

Some new parts and pics of the sx pump with -10 feed and -6 return. Yes that is a 100psi boost gauge!

Just looking back on this and after having more experiences with DS's what you have is what I thought the front two sections built into 1. That plate on the back is how you adapt it to the rear section. DSS sells one just like it. I picked up my ACPT like I said I would and it's a true 1pc. Look how long it is:

You were right and I was wrong:cry:. We went with a gt40 turbo and not a 42r. This car should be running by this weekend :D So keep checking for updates and pics.

I would suggest some sort of harmonic balancer. Be it a stock one or a fluidamper. Also some other sort of crank case evac set up. Even if that worked for the last car it was on. Better safe then sorry, plus there is no need to over look something so simple and quick to do. Just my .02
