The BOV is, of course, modified so pressure doesn't feed to open it. I have tested it with shop air up to about 60psi and it doesn't leak at all.

I'm fighting some really bad surge problems with the current combo. The car barely goes any faster as I turn the boost up and surges badly at even just 26-27psi. It is getting a different turbo which should fix the surge issues. I will hopefully have some new results in a couple weeks.

That sucks. I heard you talking with Ryan and a lady at the shootout and I heard you say you weren't gonna touch it for a few weeks cause you were sick of it. I hope you get your problems figured out and get some good times on it this year. The car is deffinately looking good.

Thanks.

I'm a little less disgusted with it now. I'm very happy it went down the track 4 times in a row with no failures, even though it was not working well.

The driveline had multiple problems I didn't know about at the end of last season. It took this long to weed those out. After fixing the things I had wrong and making a cam change (fp3x's now), the turbo surges badly. Its no fault at all of the cams, they work very well, this turbo just doesn't get along with the rest of the combo. Hopefully the turbo change will work wonders. I'm definitely scaling back the schedule with it though. I'm tired of raking myself over the coals for this season. I'll get it sorted out, but no more of this pull the trans, rebuild the trans, pull the head, rebuild the head, and have it to the track in another week crap.

Taking your time will probably net the best results anyway. Again good luck and I hope to see you kicking ass next year.

What no ac in that bad a$$ beast? :p ;) It looks like a metal jungle with that beast of a cage. Hope you hit mid 8s this season, you give hope to all us fwd guys trying to go fast...or faster:D

An auto, front wheel drive trans... I though you had to like breaking drivetrain parts to be a dsmer.

Looking good!

I tested it again last night. I'm still fighting some issues that are keeping the car relatively slow, but I'm getting the launch sorted out. I got 6 passes in, all 60' times in the 1.4's with a new personal best of 1.44 seconds. The track wasn't great and I still have plenty of tuning to do on the suspension. Its also not at traction limit from about 30'-60', so I need to tune it to make more power in that range. I know I can get it into the 1.3's.

Kevin

1.4's with a poorly prepped track! YOU RULE! I have been fighting 1.8's:(

Glad to see you up and running as well as you are:rocks:

Jake

It went a 1.388 60' last night in less than perfect conditions.

Still fighting some problems and no full passes. Its getting much closer to sorted though.

What sort of problems are you having? Are they transmission related?

Nope, trans has 14 passes on it - some partial and some full. It seems rock solid at this point. I'm sorting out other issues.

Kevin

I was wondering, is there the chance that you could leave off of a transbrake instead of the stall with these trannies.
