I would suggest some sort of harmonic balancer. Be it a stock one or a fluidamper. Also some other sort of crank case evac set up. Even if that worked for the last car it was on. Better safe then sorry, plus there is no need to over look something so simple and quick to do. Just my .02

I will look into the crack case evac ant I think we are going to do the ATI balancer.

That's because only a couple people run them in dsms. They are actually pretty popular with the suby guys that is wher I read up on them mostly in suby forums. Mine came off of Jake's(topstreet) car. Only other people I know of are like Shep and maybe 1 or two others. The version I have cost like $1800 new sooo needless to say that plays a part.

Oringing the block is overrated these days. All you need is a Permatorque Felpro HG and some L19's and you can boost away.

We run L19s and a cometic in our race car with an o-ringed block and groove in the head and we had the head lift on us a little and after looking at it the only thing that saved it was the o-ring.

No the block nor the has been o-ringed. We are using L19 studs and a SCE copper head gasket. The boost we were going to run is not gonna happen this year. We are using eagle rods for now. This winter we will try to build another block with aluminum rods.

That's why I said L19's ANDDDDDDDDDDDD the permatorque HG not just the L19's and any old HG. The permatoque HG is not even suposed to be used with orings.

Actually yea a lot of ppl do that. The procco evo that we did the motor for has an o-ring, our shop car has an o-ring. Most high hp cars do it.

its one of those topics that are argued from both sides. me personally, i dont think its necessary. just a good set of head studs and HG and you are fine.

I'll just say this no one that has used the setup I recommended has ever had HG or coolant pushing problems. Permatorque and L19's to 100-110ft/lbs FTW!!!!!!

Got to drive the race car sunday and everything work well Need to do touch up stuff and what not. I will try to take it to the track this friday. It's only an 1/8 mile I will let you all know how that goes and post pics of the finished car.

Did not get to the track last friday but did get to do some street pulls in the race car. At 22psi it "FEELS" faster the my old 1g with a 50trim with 30psi and a 75 shot that went 11.7 @ 122mph. I know that's not how I should judge it but I have no other way to say it. We will be going to the track this friday so i will let you guys know how that goes. I will post some more pics soon just waiting on the stickers for the car.
