Alright, so there really is not much info on what everything weighs in a 2g. I spent Hours stripping my car and weighing everything i pulled. So i figured since im having a boring night at home i might as well make a thread about it! The project is still not completed and keep in mind weights on some things can vary car to car. I will continue adding more to this as i remove it and weigh it all! Alot of you might be against gutting a car, but in my eyes every little bit helps, and you cant forget how much it will help your drive components!

I Also stripped Every wire out that would no longer be used, i ended up with an AMAZING 24.6 Lbs!:hellyeah:

Hell yeah, thats one thing i didnt do when i gutted my car was weigh everything. Looks like about 360 pounds you stripped so far. I have taken out just about everything you have on that list. The only thing i didnt do was the ebrake, wheel well junk, and exhaust.

I know i mentioned it in your other thread but getting different front seats will save you a good bit of weight as well. If you are up to it i would do a full wire tuck and delete all the wires you dont need from the engine harness and front chassis harness. i saved around 10-15 pounds just in wire and old loom from those two harnesses. This winter i will be doing the rest of the wiring.

Keep up the hard work and update us with the weights of anything else you yank out.

Well as of this day i know i have over 600 Lbs out of the car between the fuel cell and yes i even got some BEAUTIFUL Bride seats!I will be adding photos and more numbers along the way! Aiming for 2700 Lbs. And if you see the veryyyy last thing on the list about the wire, it may suprise you a bit!

Dont forget the Impact beams mounted behind the front and rear bumpers, there a good 30 or so pounds each. Get em out and weight em for us!

you can mount the front and rear bumper back up and you'll never know they have been removed.

Keep us updated!
