dangit my engine blew today please read inside

Dammit my engine blew today while i was on the freeway doing 75, when i got off bunch of smoke starting comeing out of my exuast im was like shyt my engine blew, water got inside the engine and everything, facked it all up, my quistion is, Is there any good sites that you guys know of that can get me new or used but low mile 1997 Mitsubishi GST turbo engine? if so ### post your link it would gladly help thx.

bummer. you're not alone though. i'd find a six bolt motor and use this as an excuse to have some fun myself.

There is usually an engine or two in the classifieds in here. I've even seen a couple of high horsepower engines for sale in the classifieds.

If that doesn't suit you, then any salvage yard can probably fix you right up.

Or, more than likely, someone will p.m. you with an engine for sale.

i remember your last post about you thinking your turbo was not working beyond 3000 (i think) rpms...did you ever try to get that fixed, or did you just upgrade turbos right off the bat.

Who says your engine is blown ? Smoke coming out of the exhaust doesnot necessarily mean that you can't use it anymore. Just have someone look at it and find out what's wrong, then you can decide what to do.

it sounds more like you blew your turbo seal based on your past problems with your turbo. Did you hear any noises or you just noticed smoke all of the sudden? Does your engine still idle normally?

Are you sure you can't fixed it or are you even sure the engine is blow? If your engine is completely blown, use this as an excuse to drop in a 6 bolt.

I agree. You were having issues with your turbo and now all the sudden tons of smoke? It really does sound like a blown turbo.

It's blown, i called my dad and he looked at it, he is a certified mechanic back in the day tho, but he looked under the oil cap and there was water water got into the engine for sure and it would realy jerk you hard like it was ready to give out. om pretty sure its blown, can i get any links to good japaneese moters for an eclipse gst turbo? anyone??

as im thinking hmmmm it could bin the turbo or witch im hopeing. does water go threw the turbo in anyway that the turbo blew it could have gotten into my block? becuz when i lifted my oil cap well my dad did, the oil on the cap waz milky like if water got into it, also my radiator was leaking badly so we got a new one and that didnt do the trick, also my dad checked the the oil dip stick and it wasnt watery or anything nor water got in.

if you want me to go into detail big time on what happaned just tell me and i will say exactly what happened from abc and d

i turn on the car it idles ok for the first 2 seconds then it starts to shake

This is what happened, i go about 6 miles to get to the mall with some friends and I'm driving maybe 85 or less, about almost when we got off the freeway we smell something nasty and i thought something was burning, i look at my temperature and it was fine right in the middle, the needle was, so when we get off the freeway when i slowed the car down or stopped it, it wouldn't idle correctly it would start to shake, when i pressed on the gas it would go away but only when i stoped or slowed down it start shaking so i pull over into the mall's lot and park my car. so me and my friend open the hood and there was radiator fluid all over, so the radiator must have blown, so we call my dad and he comes and see that the radiator is leaking like a girl on her period sheesh so we go and buy a new one and put it on and as we start going on the freeway my car starts to pollute the whole world, so much smoke was coming out of my exhaust, so we pull over on the shoulder on the freeway and my dad checks it, he looks under the oil cap and see's that the oil is milky and water got into my HEAD, so he thinks i blew it, so he looks and takes out the dip stock and it was fine no signs of water. we barely made the car back to my house.

I was always under the assumption that if somthing happen to my motor I could rebuild it. But if your saying you need to replace yours then your either saying its not repairable or a rebuild would cost too much and you might as well get a new one. Which one is it?
