Blew my engine....!!!

Ok, well the story is, my oil cooler leaked ALL my oil out at once and my ecu never let me know that i had no oil pressure... So all the sudden, my car doesnt accelerate when im going about 30 mph, i try to floor it and then my turbo starts to spool up (keep in mind im in 2nd gear going 30mph) then all the sudden it makes a grating noise then stops spooling, and my car shuts down on me. The engine still turns over but doesnt start. i had to get it towed to a garage.My mechanic (who is a close friend with my dad, so he most likely isnt trying to screw me over) suggested that my engine might be blown :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: .

So i was wondering what you all think i should do? If i need a new engine, does anyone have a working 7 bolt lying around, or even a 6 bolt? I know everyone wants to swap to a 6 bolt, but can anyone link me to a page that shows me exactly what i need to do for a conversion? Should i try to rebuild my own engine (or can i?) me and my dad have never rebuilt an engine before but i have a haynes manual and i should be able to rebuild it with him right? I have been looking at new engines on EBay but most of them are JDM engines, what would i have to do to get them to work in my car? Would i be better off getting a 6 bolt US 4G63 or a JDM 6bolt or 7bolt etc etc? im really lost here... my baby is gone and im really really tired of driving my moms minivan to work and having people ask what happened to my car :mad: . Basically all in all, What would you do???

i need about 5 DSMs so i know atleast one will be able to be driven every day OMG
 
Well the same thing happened to me and i just needed to know if the usdm engine and the jdm 6 bolt engine require the same steps for installation? Is the wiring the same for it as the jdm? and finally wich is more or less likely to crankwalk? those sites given are wonderfull but they do not answer these questions. I have been asking myself for a while now but found no post or info on it but this one, and I was afraid to post so you guys would not flame me.

jsut rebuild your engine using this fine product here :) its stronger and alittle lighter using OEM specs. replaces the Crankshaft, pistons rods gaskets, here is the link to the kit i used.

just pick your engine and your specifications (select STD [standard] if you did no boaring) and your engine model (6 bolt 1g 7 bolt 1g or 7bolt 2g)

there's a wire coming off of one sender for the gauge, and another for the low oil pressure warning light, nothing going to the ECU..
