im starting this forum like a poll. i want to know (and sure others too) how many of you tuners have actually gotten crank walk on there 2g and wanna hear all the people that havent. please just leave a reply if u have gotten it or not. thanx-greatly appreciated

95 TSi FWD - Walked @ 125k miles
95 TSi AWD - Walked @ 110k miles
96 TSi AWD - Walked @ 160k miles
97 GSX - Still going strong @ 127k miles



In my eyes crankwalk is inevidible on a 7 bolt. Alot of people believe it's a hit or miss thing but I've had three 2g's walk on me and have countless friends who have had thier 7 bolts walk on them so that's enough proof for myself to always be prepared. Buy a 6 bolt and expect your 7 bolt to walk because eventually it will happen. It may be at 80k, it may be at 180k.... but it's going to happen.

Alright, so im tired of hearing about crankwalk. I want to have a poll having everyone in the forum involved. I will start the poll with my information. Please everyone crankwalk or not, 6 bolt or 7 bolt reply to this thread with the following information.

I believe this will help some of us not freak out so much, or who knows, freak out more! There may have been a poll taken before but lets make this one good and accurate and maybe we can get it stuck to the top of the page so newbies can get an idea of what there getting into.

I have dogged the crap out of my car running 18psi for two years now and have had no problem with crankwalk. I keep everything maintained on it and i dont neglect it.

There have already been several "official" crankwalk polls. There is a big one that has actual poll results & a good number of pages with walk/no walk replys & vehicle specifics. Its would be better to reply in it, instead of starting another new one as this will more then likely get locked, since its already been done several times.

I push it everyday to upwards of 0psi, and when I feel frisky, I have been known to spin it as quick as 4000rpms!
