coolant over flow relocation? new tank?

hello, i need to relocate my coolant over flow due to ic piping. My question is who sells aftermarket overflow tanks? with brackets? So i can just put it some ware else. I found one by perrin but it seams a little over kill i would rather find a simple one. Thanks!
 
I relocated mine against the fender next to the air filter. I folded the strap that hold the bottle so that I could bolt it down... Wait, I just remembered I removed my cruise control. With it off, it leaves an open space near the filter and Frees up some bolt holes.

You could try that if no cruise control isn't a problem.

EDIT:
forget what I said about the cruise cntrl, its the IC pipes that go there. I got a front mount IC with shorter pipes so that left an opening for me there.
 
How about something like my setup? It's still the stock bottle. It's still using the stock bracket. I'm not sure what I bolted it to, but there was a bolt and a hole.

It's hiding under the intake pipe.

My car is an automatic, so I routed the IC piping a bit differently than most.

I'm in the same boat. I won't be able to keep the overflow tank in the stock location. I'm surprised I have not seen more options on this thread.
 
I ran into the same problem when installing my short route front mount. I just bought a longer hose from AutoZone for a couple bucks and zipped tied the overflow bottle to the inside of the plastic wheel-well. (Where the factory side mount sat, in front of the passenger front tire and under the intake filter). So far I haven't had any problems. Hope this helps.

I did the same thing, it is the cheap way to go and personally I think it looks better than those aftermarket overflow cans.

Anyone have pix of this gatorade mod? I need to do this as well since I just installed a fmic :D

If you wanted to, you could just have the line aim toward the ground and that's it! :aha:

The bottle low like this still works correctly? Allowing coolant to be drawn back into the system when cooling down. I'm thinking about trying it out.

Yes. It works like a straw & doesn't matter the elevation. Better explanation:

Not exactly "to relieve pressure". The coolant cap has a pressure valve that's designed to open if coolant pressure grows high [like when it gets hot- water expands]. So coolant will squirt into the reservoir. Later when the engine cools, that valve lets the coolant be sucked back in [to keep the engine full of coolant, not air]. Ever since the '60s, cars have used this system. Before that, radiators/engines were designed to have a little air in the top of the radiator so it didn't matter if some coolant pissed out... but it was not as efficient as now-a-days "cross flow" radiators. Since today's engines run hotter [and need max cooling] it's important to get the most cooling power, and that means keeping the radiator and engine full.
