So lately i havd been having engine temp issues. I noticed when i first got the car that there is no overflow tank. Could this be part of my issue?

.When you remove the rad cap on a cold engine, is the filler neck full of coolant or is there some air in there? If there is, you're losing some coolant due to the fluid expanding when it gets hot (which is normal). That's basically what the overflow tank is supposed to prevent.
You won't notice a leak in the sense that there's a puddle under the car because the coolant will leak out while the engine is running.
When you started having engine temperature issues, did that coincide with the warmer weather?

Sorry - This would be my old vehicle. That is, in fact, an aftermarket tank as the original one ruptured due to age, I would assume. What astounds me is why it is zip-tied that low instead of mounted to the chassis where I originally had it. I really would like to find these guys who had it before you and uppercut them.
Just relocate the tank and add coolant by a burp method or through one of the lines.
Yeah dude, u have no idea the amount of stuf i have either finish or just totally redo.
I think if i reposition this tank and add some more coolant the issue should hopefully right itself. How do i go about adding coolant to it? None of the fittings seem to be removable.
