Complete change or just new tranny oil?

This weekend I'm going to be changing the tranny fluid and was wondering if it would be ok to just drain the old and in with the new? Or, should I drop the cover and do a full clean?

I am planning on redoing the car in a couple years after I have enough money to buy a different dd. So, I'm curious as to if just going with new fluid now, then redoing it all when I go to town on the car down the road?

If doing a overhaul soon, you can just use 75, or 80w/90 in the case until then. 2.2 qts fills the tranny case.

Manuals have no drain pans to mention-why the response comment of "being an auto" .. just a drain plug on the back side of the tranny.

i normally use valvoline in all my stock tranny's in the past and added z max tranny fluid and has worked great for me it cleans the tranny inside and boost your maintenace time on a tranny fluid change
