oil change

Well white smoke is coolant burning... Are you positive it's white or is it a blueish color?

It white and im not losing coolant fast or anything seems pretty regual .I add water/coolant about every other week .I do notice some oil loss but not much plus it really white like steam.

Unless you over heat or get hot enough to boil your coolant, you shouldn't be loosing any. It's a closed system until pressure builds up enough to overcome the cap pressure and travel to the over flow tank.

Do a leakdown test, if it is your headgasket get a oem mitsu composite gasket not a multi layer.

Is it bad to get a mulitlayer headgasket??

Also i wouldnt say Fel-pro is bad just dont use their head gaskets or valve stems seals unless u plan on just selling the car.

It's most likely the gasket.
How was the head and block prepped before the you replaced the head gasket?
Where the head studs torqued properly?

Also, when WAS the oil changed last?

If you don't plan on modifying the engine, get an OEM gasket.
If you plan on modding, I would suggest an MLS, but if you go MLS, the head and block have to be prepped more thoroughly for it. And if you go with an MLS, I would suggest ARP headstuds.

But do a leak down test as advised above before you tear anything apart.

Absolutlely not.

Yes, only if your head and block don't have the proper RA number. MLS gaskets require a mirror shine surface free from imperfections to allow a 100% seal. If you didn't do the surfacing, then it's possible that the minute valleys in the sealing surfaces are allowing pathways to form into the combustion chamber.

This is why composite gaskets (stock) are so viable as they fill in the small imperfections when torqued down.

What's wrong with Fel-Pro? They are one of the leading gasket makers. They have IMO the BEST head gasket and all of their other gaskets are completely fine to use. My rebuild is using Fel-Pro gaskets from
Autozone and not a single leak.

ive read on here that use viton valve seals instead of felpro and to use another head gasket besides the one that comes with the gasket set. im never said they suck i bought the felpro gasket set from advance for 107 but im going to spray them with copper spray just for a better seal..:hellyeah:

jj2gdsm, bud. if your head or block is warp, no matter what type of head gaskets you use its gonna be the same results. you are gonna blew the head gaskets and leak coolant.

The problem is not the head gaskets, its the condition of your head and block. CHECK for straightness and make sure its flat before you put any brand of head gaskets on there.

Good Luck.

^ +1 on that. Has anyone had the thought cross their minds that it may be a crack somewhere on the turbo? I believe that would cause smoke in a cold situation and as it heats up the metal expands and seals? Idk just throwing it out as a possibility. It is normal to get some vapors out of a cold motor depending on outside temps.

I second this.

I also had that thought of a small crack in the turbo that seals when it gets hot .Also both head and block were resufaced.

What did they use to resurface? Was it a deck milling machine or a belt sander? Just trying to get some facts straightened out.
