Clutch recommendation?

I have a 95 gst w/ 1g 6 bolt motor swap. 16g turbo, 550cc injectors and support mods minus FMIC. i have the hard piping on the side mount. Its not tuned, i'm wondering how much power to expect because I need a clutch. Is Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit recommended? If not, which one?

We are not going to be able to tell you how much hp, never used excedy but ive used act, and i like it.

Not being tuned is a problem since you are running 550's. You need at least an AFC to compensate for them.

Come on man u seriously think anyone on this forum would ever need that clutch? That is a downright high high high performance clutch and would be an absolute waste of money unless you were doing 9,000rpm launches with 1400hp all day

Just throw in a ACT2600 and call it a day, the exedy OE replacement isn't too great for added horsepower.

Which ACT(2100 or 2600) or Spec Clutch should i get? and how is the ACT as a daily driver? has anybody compared the ACT to Spec clutch feel?

a 2100 act will be fine for your goals

or you could do an act 2600 ( only if you want a big left leg )

I have a 2600, the clutch pressure is not bad at all. Just get a 2600, then you won't have to upgrade for awhile.

I've been running a Centerforce DFX for a couple of years, and I love it.
I would only get about 20K miles out of the regular Dual Friction, but the DFX is still going strong, and it's seeing more power. The DFX definitely grabs more than the Dual Friction, but it still has the same soft pedal feel.


If I remember correctly, the Dual Friction is rated @ 380 lb/ft, but the DFX is rated @ 500 lb/ft. All I know is I haven't killed it yet.
