clutch

There isn't an easy way to answer this question.

It depends on the car and clutch kit. Two people with the same clutch can have drasticly different pedal effort.

Road Race actually did test to check different clutches effort.

RRE's Eclipse Clutch Pedal Effort and Throw Out Bearing Pressure

That might answer your question.

Edit: The clutches listed there are what alot of DSMers use. You would have to look into different clutch manufactures can handle.

In the past I have found the ACT 2900 to be a very friendly clutch with a sprung street disc or 6 puck sprung. While being a heavier pressure place than the 2600 the pedal feel is almost identical and for daily driving I have no problem. I would recommend it. But if you are sticking with your current turbo in your profile, then an ACT 2600 or Fidanza 3.2 would be more than enough clutch to hold the power.

clutchmasters stage 4 or 5 that is what i have and i love it

I have a 2600 and love it. Just wondering why are there so many people that plan for 500hp? its alot harder than it sounds.

ACT 2900 w/ 6 puck = perfect (in my opinion)

i agree. i knew a guy back in the navy saying that his spyder is going to make 600 hp. i told him that is possible but unlikely on his budget. i think aiming for something around the 325-375 hp is more realistic for most people. but thats just the way i see it. but i dont like to discourage people with their dreams.

Act 2900 with 6 puck sprung disc ftw...

Why does a 600hp spyder sound so unbelievable?

LOL, Its not but seems like alot of new guys/gals on here want 500+ HP.

Its not the fact that they cant do that but why so high? you can go very fast and have good E/T times on 300HP. But I really do not want to see the bill of parts that your going to have to get 500+hp. 20k or so I would bet. New internals big turbo, cams, PP head
Trans, Clutch. Fuel, Tuning. FMIC (race one not FP one) I just dont get it. I would be very happy with 300hp thats a fast DSM and fast track/DD.
