It's a 1998 eclipse GST engine, ECU and harness. In an older 1996 EU GS. Everything is stock, kind of.

So big story coming up. Couple weeks ago i got thrown a CEL. Moved some cables and it disappeard. Later found out that it was a CAS CEL cause every time i reseated it it would disappear. So i order a new CAS and also bought the plug. It had couple weeks of shipping time so i had to find a way to keep my car running. I put in a 1995-1996 CAS (on the CPS side type) and car ran. Bit roughly but no CEL or other weird things going on.

Package came in and i changed everything. Started the car. And instantly got the CEL. But after letting the car warm up a bit it disappeard. Following day i started driving with the CEL but no weird stutters or anything. After couple of minutes in. The CEL started turning off under 1.5k rpm then it turned off only under 2k etc. It completely turned off but the car ran like shit.

When barely on throttle it stutters. When on gas at 1k -2k it stutters like hell. Idle it constantly drops to 600 rpm. So decided to plug out the CAS. And it drove like normal with the CEL ofc. Then plugged in CAS and unplugged MAF. Still CEL but car ran fine. Finally went to local garage to read the codes. It where 15 MFI type codes (Tps, misfire cyl1, misfire cyl 2, coolant temp sens, CAS, speed sensor, AFS sensor, knock sensor, injector, ecl-4at and alternator contact.)

Starting to think got some problem with the 5v circuit. But dunno where to start testing. Anyone any idea?

I believe most of them circuits share a common ground. They all tie together in the harness with a crimp style connector and are covered with a small rubber insulator and electrical taped in the harness near the back of the transmission. They also are grounded through the ecu and are to only be grounded through the ecu internally. I would start with a multi meter and verify you have continuity for the sensors wires to the ecu for the 5v, ground and the signal wire. Good Luck

I have erased the codes and got the same ones back. No cel like no cel on the dashboard. But in high Rpms it just turns on

I got pictures but it's in dutch. So if u don't mind using translate, here u go

Can I get you to do a hard reset? Take off the positive and negative terminals on the battery and connect them together somehow. Reconnect. Drive. Then see what codes pop right away. By you unplugging things it will throw codes.

I already did that at the shop. Guy told me just turn off car and ground everything without battery on the circuit. Started the car and in 1 sec all the codes came back.

I have 5v at maf and ground is grounding good. Also get a cel for cas but voltages are perfect: black has continuity with ground. Red 12v. Signal 4/5v

Gonna check the other ones tomorrow. But it al started the clustersf*ck the moment i changed the cas.

Yes, I'm sure its in the right orientation. Tried the other way around and it wouldn't start at all

That would be nice. Knowing what code comes first. The problem is i don have a cel reader at home. Only thing I know is. At the garage they reset the ecu and same codes where on the screen. Only difference was misfire of 2 cyl changed for some weird reason

I know mate but got lots of other things. So don't have the money rn.
So far tested:
Cas
Tps
PT
Maf
ISC
Coilpack

Everything has the correct voltage and resistance

A bunch of those cause issues which cause other issues. It looks like you have 1,2,4 misfire which might as well be all 4. The coolant temp sensor can read off and do that. The TPS having a dead spot can do that. Any timing sensors can do that intermittently. Did this only happen after the CAS change?

Yeah for some weird reason it started after i changed the cas. Before that I had the 95/96 cas. The one on the timing belt side. Car ran a bit rich when going full throttle, but no cel or crazy stutters. Or it has something to do with the cas or its just our coincidence.
Sorry this is the only pic I have at the moment will upload some more when get home from work
