Newbie here. Managed to acquire a 2G Talon with the 420a. It has more blow by than any of my previous relationships.
EGR valve has been replaced and the intake as well as the line from EGR to the intake have been cleaned but I know that’s only a side effect of the blow by. I’d love to get this engine back to its original glory but I’m not comfortable completely disassembling the engine, and I don’t have the necessary tools and equipment to pull the engine.

Is there a company out there that specializes in restoring engines like these? If not, what would you recommend? It’s my goal to save it from the scrapyard

As you already seem to know, it's probably time for a full rebuild. I don't know of anyone that would "specialize" with the 420a, but being such simple engines I would think any engine rebuilder/machine shop could get it done.

Appreciate it! I also need to replace the clutch while I have it apart if I understand correctly. Even though It's going to be a daily driver, I was thinking of throwing a stage 3 clutch in for durability. First and foremost, would that be a good idea? Second, where can I find a stage 3 clutch for this? It's a 2.0 DOHC N/T with the 5 speed manual. Google is giving me bs results when I search for info on the trans model.

A "Stage 3" clutch in an otherwise stock car is an awful idea. Don't make it drive any worse than it absolutely has to - a stock clutch is more than good enough for a 420A without a turbocharger.
