I replaced both heater hoses and now my car is leaking coolant from somewhere else and its dripping not alot but enough to notice down near the mid section of the downpipe. Im thinking of just removing them completly as I only drive the car only when its somewhat nice out. Im just thinking of caping them off with rubber caps and clamps. Im sure the only thing ill lose is heat and if i do will that effect anything else but heat? Thanks for your time

You don't have to cap off the heater core, just the two other end of those hoses.
Unless the core is leaking it's usually easier to replace the hoses if they leak.

well i replaced the hoses and thought it was fine until the car came up to running temp. than it started leaking somewhere im not quite sure on where it is. so i was just thinking of just putting 2 rubber caps on the engine where the heater hoses connect to. and just not have any heat

Dont cap em off, Take the coolant Hose and loop it to the two pipes coming off the engine, if you just cap em eventually it would blow out.
