Buying a used SBR FMIC kit. Advice?

Hello folks, I may be buying a used (obviously) SBR 4" FMIC kit with some piping for around $150. I was wondering if there was anything to worry about with used FMIC cores? Is there anyway to clean these things up to look presentable?

Well first make sure it will fit your car.
Check the welds.
Make sure is clean inside
The rest is really up to you! You can sand it carefully and paint it or polish, straighten the fins, reweld if necessary, etc

my buddy had one, he had to get it welded three times, all different locations. now has another IC from someone else

I had pins welded in the end tanks after they cracked twice. They never cracked after that.

you get what you pay for get a used ETS or garret fmic and be done with it.
