Hey,

For those of you 2G owners using the SBR FMIC kit, whose has had cooling issues w/ this kit since it is so huge???

Thanks,
Eric

From all the reviews I have read people have had no problems with the car over heating.

a larger CORE is better than a smaller core most of the time, because the endtanks of the smaller cores tend to block flow to the radiator, so a bigger core doesnt mean worse airflow to the radiator. You shouldnt have a cooling problem tho.

How much cutting of the bumper is actually required? I know that the example car on the site (a dsmtuner member) shows a huge hole cut out, but is that much really necessary? Thanks! -jam

The actual bumper must be removed. mine is gone.

The bumper cover is cut quite a bit, I'm still working on re-enforceing it because it's much flimsier because of how much i cut out and it's still not completely exposed.

lemme know if you want pics

I should have been more clear in my previous post, but I mean the front bumper as apposed to the actual bumper core itself. I just am curious as to how much visual appearance i will loose on the front bumper? I know for my buddys new GReddy wrx fmic, we had to chop a pretty good portion off the bottom, and actually cut a little too much. Pretty much i want a clean stock look with ofcourse a new intercooler behind it. =)

Well I'm sure you've seen the blue 2G from their site. This is one of the biggest cores that can possibly fit and if you want maxiumum airflow to it to get the most out of it, your bumper cover is going to have to get cut up.

And without the 'maximum' air flow, do i have to chop the top part of my front bumper off, or can it fit behind the front bumper. I gues the best way is, does anyone have any pics of 2Gs with slow boys fmic other than the blue one on there site? The only reason i am really stressing this is because they have a deal going on until the end of Jan, and I would like to jump on if it wont disturb the overall appearance. Thanks for all your help already! -jam

I'd post a picture but all mine are too large.... and when i down size them tuners keep saying something is wrong with them. i have a 97 bumper and i cut about two inches above the black part. where the bumper does it's hard curve, it's about an inch above that.. and still has room to be cut.. but that's all i wanted to.

I'll email pics if someone wants - as stated in my previous post.
