Gotta make this quick i'm at work. Does anyone have a picture of a 1g with an sbr fmic under a stock bumper. I know its supposed to hang out approx 1/2-1inch. I'm trying to see what i'm in for and if I need to fab up a lip for my new bumper. :dsm: :thumb:

There was a picture of it and its not pretty! If your looking for a nice big race FMIC, look at the Dejon Tool race FMIC. Nice, clean, and doesnt hang out of the bottom.
BTW, You car will have a nice and big smile!! :D

I'm about to buy the same kit, doesnt seem like that many people have it and I would like to know how it fits w/ a '92 talon front bumber. we need to get some people with the kit to post on here.

I want to upgrade mine for a sbr or forced performance...I kind of don't like the endtanks of sbr...but...like they say ''its no secret that the company that makes the best turbo's in the world, know how to make a damn good intercooler!''

Here is my 1G SBR kit with my cut bumper. Had to cut the metal bumper A LOT, and trim the cover some. Since I had a 1990 I also relocated my oil cooler to my driver side, and looped the power Steering lines.

We just installed this kit on my friends 90 tsi awd. We had to remove the bumper support, And little pole like brackets also. We had to cut ALOT of the radiator support out. It's a very nice intercooler, And it's huge. I hope you dont need directions, Because it dont come with any. It's not too hard but it is a pain in the ass.

By radiator support do you mean the holes where the inlet/outlet pipes go? That is a given with any FMIC Kit that has short route piping through the front of the car. Its all pretty straight forward, but the IC hangs on the front bumper shock studs. One on each side. You can keep the metal bumper, but like I said it must be cut a lot. I decided to keep it to have something solid to mount the bumper cover to. It can be a pain in the ass, as it is a little bit of work. Also my IC doesn't hang below the front bumper cover. It comes close but doesn't.

Thanks for all your help, I didn't mean to mislead I already have the fmic on my car now. When I bought it, it had a "combat" fiberglass bumper that I have since destroyed :D (auto-x in the back yard) OMG . I will post new pics when I get it all together, i'm doing alot of stuff after Christmas cosmetic and performance related ---on my way to 500hp :dsm: :thumb:
