I was out cruising last night on Fry Rd and was just about to get into 2nd to get moving again and i heard a loud pop:cry:. luckily i was still in neutral and just coasted into the O'Reiley's. I found part of the safety switch on the floor. Can i just find that piece in a junkyard or do i have to replace the entire clutch master cylinder

your question makes no sense. the clutch safety switch is simply a button on the clutch pedal assembly that, when depressed, doesn't allow you to turn on the motor. if you can't get your car to start because you broke the clutch safety switch then disconnect the wire going to the back of it and problem solved... the master cylinder has nothing to do with the safety switch thats why your question makes no sense.

Safety switch? People actually use those? I really doubt that's what popped, or what you found on the floor. If it is, it's probably consequential from another problem, though I have no clue what that problem would be. Just disconnect the switch and go on without it, if you notice any other stupid behavior, you'll know something else is to blame.
