Boost gauge problem

Hey guys, I just got a new boost gauge and installed it in place of my cheap chinese garbage boost gauge that was reading inaccurately. Anyways, with the power on to the gauge but the engine off, the gauge starts reading between 0.4 and 0.8. It goes from .3 to .4 and then .4 to .5 and back down and or back up. Moves around with the engine off! Is this things calibration off or something? Or is this normal? It is a sweet gauge btw. APSX WB Boost gauge. I did email the company and am waiting on the response from them. Haven't been able to drive it as I am finishing the fmic install.

Might need a better ground. My innovate gauges bounced around when I had them all running off one. Stopped when I individually grounded them

thats a tiny amount of pressure difference and may just be atmospheric difference.

if you can get to the line still stick it in your mouth and blow/suck and make sure the gauge goes smoothly. (or have someone while you watch the gauge, ask your gf to come blow your gauge) anyway a human might be able to produce 3 to 6 psi positive and 2 or so negative. so as long as the gauge sweeps smoothly between those numbers it should be good. (its how i test boost/vac gauges)

Lol. I got a link sent to me by the owner of the company. It's a video on how to calibrate the gauge. Sweet! Hope this fixes it! The gauge is super nice for 50 bucks it's well worth it.

Thanks dude I was gonna do it tonight but my brand new battery is dead after 5 days of the car sitting in the garage... weird. I'll let you know when I get a good charge on it.

EVERY dsm i have owned has had higher sitting draw on the battery than other cars. Even after i traced out and eliminated as many fualty relays, bad grounds, corroded ECU's as humanly possible. 5 days is still higher than i would expect though so do the battery drain test and try to isolate what circuit the majority of it is on. these cars are old and were considered disposable when they were new. the fact that ANY of them are still in use daily amazes me.

GET A BATTERY TENDER, or buy stock in duralast.

built to last! Dura-Last! I worked at Autozone for a little bit when I was 18. Yeah I have a Harbor Freight right down the street with $7 battery tenders I will go pick one up after work today. I don't even know where to start searching for where the draw is. I do however have a brand new multi-meter though. Haven't had a chance to figure out how to use it yet, I am used to a continuity tester that I use for most electrical and wiring I do. Here's what the multi-meter looks like, it came with the two probe leads as well.
