boost gauge problem

Well I hooked up my boost gauge today. Its totally getto. I have it taped to my dash because I cant afford a pod yet. I also didn't go though the firewall i went up through the side of the hood and in a crack through the door to my dash. I did it quick because I had to go to work then go street racing. Turbo disel trucks are pretty quick but I beat it. Anyway, I hooked it up the fuel pressure regulater and it doesn't register vacuum and idle and very little throtle. When I go WOT it registers (12.5 psi with boost control solenoid mod) and at partial throtle it shows vacuum. Did I hook it up to the right end of the thing?

Well, first off, hook it up good. second, 12.5 isnt bad, All dsm's are a little diffrent, they range between 9-15psi. 15 is the stock setting, but the stock BOV leaks at 9. Also, vacum should be around -20 at idle, and it will take a bit to get to posotive numbers, lag is normal. So having some throttle, and still being in the negatives is not un-common. But I would take an hour, and hook it up the right way, make sure your connections are good. Adding a boost guage really isn't a long task.

the stock BOV leaks at 9

Only on a 2G. His 1G BOV should be holding fine at 18 or more.
