Ok to start i have healthy internals, gaskets, tune up everything. Now I have been looking for bolt ons and found a list of stuff i'm going to buy this summer.
-new intake pipe(Fp)
-GM maf
-k&n airfilter
-punishment racing 38mm o2 housing
I'm going to be running 16 psi so I just wanted your opinions on how this setup will be. I'm going to upgrade my injectors and turbo after these parts are on. I only have a safc 1 for now so I'm going to buy DSM link when i have enough. Does anyone else have a similar setup. I just wanted to know how this setup will be.
thanks

My first question is "what are your plans for the car?"
Also the GM maf really isn't a "bolt on" part. You're gonna have some things to do with it

All of those bolt ons really aren't going to give you true power, not sure of what exactly you're asking.
As long as you tune it properly with the SAFC until you get link, your car will be happy.

If all maintenance is up to par, your car will be fine, and it will be fun on a 16g.

However, why the GM maf? You're going to need a Maf Translator with that, and buy the Gm Maf and just wait until you get link to run it, that way you won't need to buy something you wont use after link (MAF-T).

That or buy no MAF at all and run speed density with link.

I wanted something near the 12's or in them and also a well running dsm. I didn't really know what else i needed with the gm maf.

These mod list was something I thought would help with 550's and a 16g. I was just trying to get some feed back on what people are running on there 1g's.

Do all of the maintenance, all of those mods are fine, no issues there.

I'm not sure if you'll be in the 12's at 16 psi on a 16g. But you'll have to find out with that one :)

Thanks for the input everyone looks like i'll be looking at a few new parts soon.

You'll have a hard time getting into the 12s on a 16g but it is doable (not at 16 psi though). If you decide to push the 16g to its limits and try and get into the twelves with it, than you might consider uprgading your stock sidemount to a frontmount. As lofty already said, a good tune with your safc should give you a fun car to drive

yea i got a fmic, first thing I did but thanks guys i'll check it out.

Why is it no one mentioned fuel pump and afpr..Your going to need those in order to turn the boost up..

You said you had the fmic and all the piping?

Secondly what 16g are you going to be buying..

Third..Why 550's..Why not just spend the money and get 1000's, so you don't need to upgrade injectors for a while..

I already got the fuel pump and yea good point I can just turn down the 1000cc injectors with link right so good idea and I'm going to buy a fp 16g.

With link you set how much the injectors pulse, all you have to to is put in what cc injectors and start tuning..Theres no no reason to buy 550's and then run them out, you mise wel just get large injectors to start with..
There are four 16g's to my knowlage..Small 16g, big 16g, the evo3, and evo 3gt..I would not suggest the big 16g,or evo3 gt, I would go with small or evo3..The small spools a little quicker, and almost flows as much as the evo3..But then again the evo 3 does flow a little more..Ohh and if your going to buy it from fp, go ahead and have them port it, It will be worth the extra money..

I agree with Bud here. But if you go with 1000cc injectors then you have to get link to run them. The afc won't be able to control them. I think the highest you can go is 650cc with a afc. I am running a E316g @ 20 psi with 750cc injectors, a gm maf w/maft, and a Safc in my GSX. Which is close to setup your looking to run. And before anyone says anything I am able to control my injectors with the safc due to the fact I have a stage3 keydriver chip programmed for the 750cc injectors so the afc is just doing minimum corrections.
