I’ve seen a handful of K swap Eclipses, I’ve never seen an AWD K swap done though. I’m pretty sick of trying to find any performance parts for my built 420a. I purchased a manual AWD K series CRV for dirt cheap last year with the intention to swap my GS after I inevitably blow up the 420a I just finished building
.
So far the challenges I can think of (most have solutions but I’m trying to keep this kind of short) are the following:
Rear CV axles
Driveshaft needing to be shortened or lengthened
Rear subframe needs to be fabricated or a GSX subframe needs to be sourced
The car will be converted to fuel cell so the tank won’t be in the way of the driveshaft
Everything else in the front end has already been done in the past with the FWD K swaps and I just need to watch the YouTube videos on that for motor mounts and that side of things.
Are there any other big things I’m missing in this list? I’m just trying to be as prepared as possible when the time comes to start this swap so I can minimize the downtime as much as possible. Also does anybody know of anyone that has done this swap and I just haven’t found it on the internet?
