Auto Trans issue periodic

1992 TSI AWD Automatic. Sometimes going 1-2, ans 2-3 the trans slips but sometiems it shifts perfect. Also downshifting 2-1 sometimes it does it so hard I think it is going to snap something, sometimes perfect? I put some additiv in the trasn and it didn;t seem to maek much difference. I am thinking maybe the trasn computer? ANy ideas? Thansk

I say take it to a shop and get the transmission flushed, new filter and fluid and it might fix it.

mine does that once in awhile, havent had time to check into it though.

You should really fill out your vehicle profile though, so in the future people will know what year/model you have.

tranny flush should do the trick. If not i would look into a tranny kit... Im going to take a guess at it could be the bands. there are bands for each gear. im not sure but i think 1st gear is also reverse. does it slip in reverse?

if it is bands i would go this road....make it fresh again....

p.s. did you call crysler and ask if your transfer case was a defective one... the plug comes undone in it and drains fluid, then locks the transfercase. something like that im not going into detail of something that wasnt asked,just thought i would keep you safe.!
