so i put a new trans in my talon and everything went smooth until i went to do the brakes and noticed that only the front wheels were super hard to spin and upon spining one side the other does not rotate. i started the car with all four wheels in the air and only the backs spun and the fronts i still could hardly turn. i was told the trans came out of a driving 91 awd like mine and had no problems. and as far as i heard there was no grinds clunks or noise from the trans. WTF

any help would be great. im getting pounded by winter weather and want my awd back.

thanks jake

Start by picking the car up, pulling the wheels, and seeing if its a brake issue, or a tranny issue. Pull the calipers off and see if your resistance goes away. If its the brakes, I'd image the calipers are gong to be a pita to remove. Open the bleeders and try and make some room by depressing the piston in. You'll have to re-bleed obviously after your all done if you end up having to open the system.

If you get the calipers off no issue, and its still seized up then the issue is most likely internal to he trans. although I'm not sure what could go wrong to present itself this way.

theres no brakes on the car. i searched some but got no deff. answear. all i gathered was posibly a front diff.

Well you know what you have to do...pull the trans back out sadly. Are you going to attempt to repair, or find another?

repair. i have the trans that came in the car only problem was that the shifter lever was broke off i think and hope LOL. yea i kno just hoped that someone could give me a bit more insight or options
