take out the spark plug. Connect (2) 9" 3/8 drive extensions together and put it in the hole. Turn the crank until they start back on the way down. Take a look at your timing mark on the crank to get it dead on the mark.
 
Remove spark plug, place long screwdriver in the hole, and turn crank until the screwdriver reaches it's highest point on number 1 cylinder.
 
Why do you need the firing order to set #1 to TDC. Cyl #1 is closest to timing belt. Set that to TDC.
