I don't know. Which inconel is the e3 16g turbine wheel made of?
Whatever circumstance would crack an inconel wheel would bend another material which would cause an imbalance. A bent wheel must be replaced if you plan on pushing the thing.
It does tolerate some shock. My old e3 exhaust manifold had started to crack at the collector divider. The small pieces were sent through one of my hx35 turbos. The blades bent but nothing snapped.
