I’m rebuilding a 99 split thrust. Have acl race bearings and acl thrust washers. For whatever reason when installing my thrust, the second one will not roll in very easily. Do I just need to rap the front end of my crank, well the bolt I mean, to set the front half in order for my rear half to roll in properly?

How much end play are you coming out with? Something is putting a load on one side (I bet the trans side) of the thrust bearing. Heavy clutches/torque converters not properly indexed will do this.

since its a cradle its not the same as this video but you might not have the cradle central enough. worth a look anyway as jay levels the main cap but might be worth considering on our cradle setup incase its a smidge to far one side
