Which block has split thrust bearing?

Hey, I'm looking to purchase a new OEM block from the dealer and was wondering which part number I need?. The final production numbers were june 97 and up. Is that the one with the split thrust bearing?. thanks

I'm not entirely positive on the production date but you want the latest year block yes. Andy's car is 98 and has the split thrust bearing.

I'm looking at CAPS right now and it shows as June 97 being the last available part number so my assumption would be that would be the correct part number. That number is MD350925.

Thats the best I can come up with right now.

Some years ago Charles Moss told me by email that the blocks from 6/97 on were the revised bearings. My '98 was made late in '97 and at 122k has in-spec crank play.

Did you find a good price on these blocks someplace?

I was just under the impression that the split thrust would have less chance of walking. A local dealer wants 2400usd for a complete short block. I was going to purchased the new revised block and use it with B/C 2.4 stroker kit. Not a great deal but I like to start with new parts.
