I was just wondering what the difference is between the 97-98 Eclipses Vs. the 99 model. I always thought they were the same, but Chilton's manual does not include the 99 model, and when I was looking for some control arms, they had some for the 97-98 Eclipses but 99 was not included and was not found from that company. Any thoughts...

I too have found that most things show as 95-98, but they always work on the 99, not sure why they do that. The only differences I know of is the white faced gauges, and the option for black leather. They are mechanically the same as the 98s. Guys, feel free to add if I have missed any....

maybe chilton was done with the manual in 98, and they just didn't bring a updated version out :D

The only difference in the 99's is the GS comes with an optional sports package which includes turbo spoiler, OZ Racing rims, chrome tip exhaust, dark leather, and white- faced gauges. The price is also about the same, only a bit higher than the 98's, unless you want the sports package with the GS which costs around 2K more. I'm not too sure about the Gs-t of Gsx but thats the kind of Gs I picked up :dsm:

I'm sure you just covered them all actually.

The throttle body on on the 99 is diffrent from the 95-97 (not sure about the 98) but they moved a vacuum line from the throttle body to the intakemanifold.

I swapped a 99 motor in my 97 and it was one of a couple of things I rember that where diffrent.
