Is there any difference in modding/stock performance of a 95 vs a 97/98 tsi?

I also keep reading about crankwalk, is it more common in one of these year?

Thanks

only differance i can think of under the hood, is the cam angle sensor location. i know the 95-96 have it in a differant spot than the 97-99. and one has it on the intake cam and one has it on the crank, but i am not sure which is which.

I have both sensors on my car. My car has had a crazy history... The one on the flywheel side of the engine is not plugged in, while the one on the cam gear itself is plugged in. I am about to install cam gears, and the cam gear side sensor needs to go. Does anyone know the wiring diagram so I could use my other sensor?

Thanks,
