Still waiting on those picture updates, the stuff is like porn to me and I need my fix!

Amazing work! Very inspiring, but I couldn't imagine the patience you have to have to do a build like this.

I also would like to know the color code of the charcoal greyish color of the first paint! Mad props to you by the way for the wiring weight lost. Looks like it was a mell of a hess to do, electrical is not fun to me at all...

I just read through the whole thread and I'm freakin' impressed! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for future updates.:rocks:

Do you have any final shots of the engine bay? This is a work of art with no corners cut.

Hoping for updates! Love the project man, I plan on doing a wire tuck and some other stuff during the winter downtime this year.

Nice work mane !:hellyeah: Beautiful car, clean as hell...anyone kno where I can get one of those back window visors from?

I'm sorry, but WHY are posting pictures of your car in someone else's build thread?

hey guys.. thanks again for the positive feed back!!

I don't know if any has noticed in the direction that im trying to take my car, as far as an overall build goes. but sometimes not even I can describe it... i basically wanted a very super clean, visually pleasant to the eye of any beholder DSM ,that even people that do not like DSM's would like, also with some power to back it up... not the most power but good enough power to play with on the streets, also wanted a pretty functional set up as far as suspension goes but still "stylish" as one would say.

now the engine bay... i've seen some clean engine bays... but rarely on dsm's... i plan on making the engine bay "smoother" i guess you could say... or "cleaner"
i feel i could of done better, but since my gs430 was wrecked, i had no choice but to hurry and finish the car.

unfortunately my goal to run 10's with a stock 97-99 7 bolt long block did not go through since i spun a couple rod bearings... when i tore apart the motor, i found that the teeth on the oil pump scraped both sides of the pump. im guessing oil pressure was lost when i made a pass at the speedway. i trapped a 12.1 sec @124mph pass with a 2.2 60 foot on cheap DURO street tires with 35psi. The car weighs in at an even 2900lbs with me in it according to the scale at the speedway with 3/4 of e85 in the fuel tank.

So my boss at TREVTEC Motorsports had a 6 bolt laying around and some evo engine parts.

I decided to try a 90' 6 bolt block with evo8 pistons, my 98' 7 bolt head, evo8 valve springs, 1g non turbo intake camshaft, 90' TB, and I also installed an authentic Evo3 transmission and case with the lsd rear end. and after 3 months i still love this set up!!

im still using the tune from the old 7bolt at 27psi now and still managing 12.3 ish AFR's at WOT. not too shabby... also its on dsmlink v3 with speed density and a 3 bar map. im still on a oem fuel pressure regulator fuel filter fuel rail. I changed the fuel feed line to -8 SS from the pump to filter.

anyway.... the rear visor, a lot of you guys have asked where i got it from... Mach V used to sell them, i think. other than them as far as i know they are discontinued.... i have not seen any other dsm with one. and i've been offered up to $200 for it and i will not sell it. i bought it for $20 off some old guy at a super market parking lot... i knew how rare this piece was so i was willing to give him up to $80 for it... but it was half way falling off and i asked him if he wanted it fixed and he said he just wants it off the car before it falls off. so i said "ill give you $20 for it" he said "i would of gave it to you for free" but i couldnt take it for free, it didnt feel right....

well here are more pictures you guys keep asking for...

if there is anything you want to know how i did something, or need a picture closer of something i did... don't be afraid to ask. anything and everything i did to my car has been and is still working in case anyone is asking... there are parts im still designing and prepping for fabrication at the shop.. for example my catch can and intake pipe.. i know my valve cover is vented to atmosphere and there is no vaccum pulling pressure out. and to the noobs.. i know my BOV is vented. my car is on speed density.

ENJOY!!!

2G'S FTW!!!!!! :hellyeah:

In no particular order... and just like always... ALL OF THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN BY MY CAMERA PHONE! thank you.

any questions or feedback is appreciated!

That car is teh secks dude. I love it, and I want my engine bay to look like that one day. Only thing I would/will do different is loom the wires and put a spark plug cover on it.

Oh and I am afraid I don't think I want to tuck the brake lines. But major props for doing it!
